    I would love to see you put a large standing coin cabinet in the library and find something to collect that's cheap enough to keep raw and at home.

    You are right on my wave length. I’ve taken to collecting exonumia from my hometown and have a working binder spanning from basic trade tokens, to graded Civil War store cards to transit tokens (the Child’s ticket below is probably one of 5-10 extant). I have an original sign from the Civil War monitor “Kalamazoo” named after my home town ready to hang on the wall.
