2004-D Jeff rev artifacts ?

Namvet69Namvet69 Posts: 9,018 ✭✭✭✭✭

Checking an MS condition nickel to discover a couple of unusual artifacts: possible clash above axe head and off sleeve. Also a straight fine raised line all the way across the rev. I appreciate your viewing and thoughts on these. Peace Roy

Excellent pictures Roy....The 'artifacts' are there... that raised line looks like a die scratch....I do not think there is any numismatic premium though....Cheers, RickO

@ricko I try with my usb Plugable setup. Yeah, I wasn't getting excited about this. I'm thinking gouge or small strike thru. And that really thin line maybe feeder finger mark? Peace Roy

@Namvet69....Roy....In the picture, it looks raised...all the way, and I do not see any 'depression' which would indicate a scratch....that is why I thought die gouge...and if so, there should be more out there. Cheers, RickO

@ricko yes it is raised. Rotation confirms it's a raised feature, so that would mean the die is the source. Thanks, have a good day. Peace Roy
