Off center penny with exposed zinc. What to do?

I got this off center penny a few months or so ago. I’ve seen on other posts that exposed zinc on these pennies isn’t good at all. It doesn’t seem to be reacting with anything now. Is there anything I can to to reduce any possible damage to it? I currently have it in a 2x2.

It should be fine in the flip unless there is a lot of moisture wherever you store it.

Nice coin, make sure to keep it air tight.
Don't touch it, don't even look at it too much.
I would say if you keep in the flip you should be fine.
Ok thanks. So the key to to keep it away from any moisture.
BTW what % off center would you call it? 75% is what I’m thinking....

Many modern error coins have exposed zinc. Keep as airtight as possible.
Check out this one in PCGS plastic ....
i wonder how close to eyeballing it i can get. i'll say 85%. that is my wag
nice coin @Kliao - exposed zinc comes with the territory with zinc lincoln errors.

Enjoy. That's my answer.
And the strike looks to be MS 66 or better.
If it were mine, I'd probably get it off to our host for slabbing.

Nice I like
Neat error coin... I would say 80% off center....A slab might be better than the flip though.... Either way, stable temperature and moisture control...Cheers, RickO
That is not a flip. IT's a cardboard 2X2.
Question for Kliao---Did you clean the 2X2 holder before you used it? This type of holder has microscopic cardboard dust on the windows from the manufacturing process that can react with the copper and zinc over a period of time leaving small spots on your coin. Before I use them, I wipe off the inside windows on this type of holder with a clean cotton undershirt. Some prefer to use compressed air.

Would it be worth it? From what I'm seeing on eBay, it worth about 20 bucks which doesn't justify grading costs.
Yes I do. The dust in there annoys me anyways. I've seen others say it... Good to know why.

I would consider putting it in one of the Coin World/Amos slabs. Looks like you need something to hold something 23 mm in diameter. You could also use an Air-Tite, which has a foam gasket in it that would be more accommodating. Even better, the foam gasket from an Air-Tite in a CW slab that would hold it. If you're overly concerned about the exposed zinc, I'd recommend selling it and buying a bronze one that's 75% off-center.

It's a flip.
Funny @Kliao knew what I meant.
.
Thanks for the suggestions. I didn't think about air-tites. Don't have many though and none of the CW slabs. Was able to find one for a sovereign (22.05mm) with a black foam gasket which it fits perfectly in.

What you've got it in looks good, assuming the ring is known to be made of something inert.
