The sale was split up with 80+ coins in the first sale and 80+ in the second sale - all through Legend. All toned Morgans (Including the 2nd sale).
The best was saved for last!
So I should have bought this time around, then? Oh well.

I resurrected this thread — since Part 2 of the Roadrunner Morgan’s just sold at Legend Regency 41 ....
I had a blast following the live auction online, and also won one ... will post it later when it’s in-hand. 🤠⭐️
Prices seemed very strong for the ‘right’ look .... the MS67 Monsters brought the money as expected .... and there was one 66 that seemed to surprise everyone and brought outrageous money (28k) ....
Anyone else snag a Roadrunner this time around? Other’s thoughts about the prices?

I was outbid on everything I targeted (and I wasn't going for the 66s or 67s). Prices seemed strong. I was especially surprised by some of the NGC slabbed Morgans (including those not from Roadrunner). Quite a few did much better than I figured given the bias towards PCGS at Legend.
I was close on a few, got blown out on some and finally won this coin that Roadrunner outbid me on a year ago:
The prices overall seemed quite strong and Lot 308 was insane. That coin is gorgeous (although the spot is quite distracting) but Legend auctioned it three times in the past few years, bringing around $9K, $12K, and $14K.
@david3142 that’s a beauty! Congrats. Yes lot 308 was indeed the one I referenced....its Legend pics are actually quite a bit more ‘monster’ looking than its TruView.
@U1chicago yes I too was surprised by some of the NGC toners’ performance given their seemingly more modest eye appeal in some cases.

I bought a fabulous Christmas colored toned (on both sides) Morgan silver dollar from Legend years ago.
Maybe I should auction such coin through them someday based on the response they got in their auction.
I've mentioned this before and I'll mention it again. if you have a coin that fits the Legend look, it should be a strong contender for auction venue when you go to sell.

This one, although not part of the Roadrunner collection, called to me.
A fun . . very informative collection to help to set the 'standard'!

Here's one that found a new home.
Nice looker. ⭐️
