Thanks. And yes it’s Clad. I was surprised to come across it at a car wash change machine. Since my bank is not giving any change out or patiently don’t have any. So I stopped at 5 car wash change machine. Because can’t take all the quarters the car wash has. So I skip around and hit up several of them. Got $150 bucks in quarters.

So what I look for!! I look for quarters in good to great shape even from a car wash change machine. I look for DDO’s and DDR’s. And any major errors. I will share some of my other finds from the car wash change machines. 😂🤣🤪🧐
That was a good idea getting quarters at the car wash. You might want to go pick some quarters up at the laundromat too. I don’t think I’ve ever found silver from those two sources though. Good luck with your searches.
since the images are so big and it took a sec to scroll, i thought to myself, "WOW, no way, they found a silver quarter and a type b to boot!"
Me too. Still a cool circulation find, though.

I do not find S mint coins very often in change....so that would stand out for me as well. Too bad it was not silver, but good find anyway. Cheers, RickO

Since only 1969-S quarters were in proof sets, is your coin an impaired proof or is it an error business strike coin? The coin doesn't seem to have any remnant of a mirror field that an impaired proof would possess.

So rare to find silver anymore.
In very good condition as well! Nice find.

Me too. Still a cool circulation find, though.
Remember these guys? Took more than $4000 from the car wash change machine before they got caught.
Wisdom has been chasing you but, you've always been faster
The reverse pic came first. Without scrolling to the obverse, I thought WOW, that coin is really well struck.
Then I saw the obverse.
The reason became clear.

Came across some DDR’s.
