I would agree with that but on a nickel or a dime. It's one of the best coin designs ever IMO. We need to eliminate the cent altogether.

Don't quote me, but I believe I read somewhere that the design was discontinued because it was hard on the dies.

I too like the coin. Always did.

    I like the current model.

The rarest series by far for major error coinage ...

The current cent reverse looks like it was lifted from an 1860s pattern. I really like it

The flying eagle is a great design but it needs to be on a larger coin to be fully appreciated.

I would support the resurrection of this design 100%....Love the coin...and if they are going to keep the cent, then let's have a great design.....If not the cent, then let's have it on a dollar coin....Cheers, RickO

The Flying Eagle design great, but it's going to be tough to get Lincoln off the cent!

Perhaps something like the following combining Lincoln with the Eagle would work!

And can we get that in a copper? Call it a 3 cent if that'll cover the cost or 3 1/3 to round up even.

@CoinscratchFever.... Interesting idea...but why not a copper nickel? Call it the CUNI, the designation for copper/nickel alloy...Seems like it would look nice and reduce losses on the cent... That is, if they discontinue the cent. Cheers, RickO

You know, I thought I saw that too on AMERICA but I wasn't going to be the first to say it. After all these years of cherrypicking, you would think I would trust my eyes more.
