The official “End of WWll 75th Anniversary Gold/Silver ANXIETY thread

So there I am, at a time somewhere in the near future. The time on the clock reads 11:55AM eastern. Suddenly a knock on the door. I have already logged onto the Official US mint website, feeling more stressed out then Nanci Pelosi at a MAGA convention, in anticipation of the usual mint website meltdown and Inevitable sobbing that will follow.
I reluctantly open the door and in barges Mike Mezak ( you know... that guy from “Coin Collector” on HSN), holding rope and duct tape. Mike proceeds to tie me up and places a layer of duct tape over my mouth and proceeds to take my place in front of my monitor.
Mike is successful in obtaining on of the End of WWll 75th Anniversary Gold Eagle Proofs, along with 1944 other HSN employees, and exits my home leaving me hyperventilating in the fetal position sucking my thumb.
Thank you for listening to my story, and please feel safe to post your stories of anxiety, relating to this future mint product. This is a safe place.

I gave up my dibs on the colorized basketball coins so I am entitled to an extra shot at these.
Considering how fast the unlimited run burnished w sold out/went to back order, I'm not feeling great
Back order is meaningless. They could have back ordered them starting with the 10th order. Or even the first. Didn't that kids issue go on sale as a back order?
Lol I'm so glad I don't buy/collect this modern mint stuff, stress free.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
@jmlanzaf It is also the fact that with that coin they could be preordered or subscribed, this one can't be and has a 1 per household limit, still stressful knowing the general public demand for the 2020's in general, plus last year for that exact design supposedly. You have a good point I still don't feel any more at ease about it lol.
@coinbuf yeah I am not sure why I have been getting them, but I do like the ASE's... probably because I do more bullion issue collecting than anything at this point. I also love the Royal Canadian Mint maples and The Royal Mints queen's beasts, that's not blasphemy on this section of forum is it
oh, it's going to sell out quickly. But nothing else this year has had any kind of traffic to compare.
Anyone know what the release date will be?

Yesterday. Sorry.
Some comments:
1 no release date, yet.
2. If you collect 1oz. gold eagles and want to continue a complete run, this will be highly stressful. With fewer that 2000 available it will be brutal getting one directly from the Mint (only about 20% of the people got the 2019 S ERP last year, and this one will be even tougher).
3. And if you have to get it after market it will be brutally expensive. Any one hazard a guess? I haven’t seen anyone on the forum or elsewhere advertising buy prices.
4. Because I expect So many people will be left out, a resale premium and frenzy, I also expect plenty of questions and complaining about the Mint, about bots, and about everything else one can complain about.
5. But there are presumably fewer collectors of gold eagles than ASE, so it will be interesting to so how high the premiums go and how many get left out.
Should be fun.
US mint premiums on gold are brutally high this year. ~675 over spot on 1oz proof gold eagle right now. That's on top of highest spot gold price in years.... who wants to pay $2500+ for a gold eagle with a privy mark?
These will probably sell out to flippers but imagine many will lose money on them.

I remember when the entire cost was less than $675.
You will be able to at least double that on the flip if you are lucky enough to land one imo.

I am not looking to flip. I have a long run on AGE’s, but expect ungraded 5k with 70’s at 6k+. Flipper frenzie.
The lowest mintage on Gold Eagles to date (I believe) is the 2012 W burnished uncirculated at around 5800+ Mintage. Those go for about $3k or a little less in perfect 70.
I will be looking to get the ASE, but not even going to try for the AGE....Probably end up having to work the day they release it....THAT will torque my stress button (Cabernet time
)....Cheers, RickO
If you want to make it fair to all those buyers of Gold Eagle Proof buyers for the last 30+ years—-make it available to them first—-not the flippers!
Very easy to know if you have bought the Gold Eagle 4 pc or 1 oz size Proof lets say for the last 5 consecutive years—you should get a golden ticket.
BTW—I am not in the list—for transparency
