Hi I just won this auction on eBay but I want to know if it has been cleaned because the seller has free returns.

Impossible to tell from your pictures...but from them I would sway towards the not cleaned verdict!

I did ask but they haven’t gotten back to me, I also didn’t pay yet since I am waiting for a response. I just wanted to check here in case the seller lies or doesn’t know.

Doesn't looked cleaned to me, just some light circulation hairlines.

    But you still bid? Why?

Because I was most likely going to buy it either way and I also paid for it about an hour ago. I sell on eBay and know how much it sucks to have an item go unpaid or someone return something because of their own misunderstanding. I just wanted other people’s opinions on it so I have a better idea of what I’m getting in the mail. I would always pay for and keep an auction that I win and pay for it within an hour or two max. I would also never return an item as long as it is what the seller says it is, I would most likely try and resell it or keep it since I would not want to punish someone else for my own stupidity.

That tends to be my approach as well.

BTW, hope it works out. It looks like a solid coin so far.

Why did you edit the title of this thread? It's considered bad form since these threads can be educational.

The coin does not appear to be cleaned based on those pictures. Let us know how it looks in hand when you receive it. Cheers, RickO

I do not see anything that makes me think that it has been cleaned.

Look at the coin with a 5 power glass to be sure there are no cleaning hairlines visible when you rotate the coin.
As far as my computer allows, it seems to be the same coin.
