1795 Cohen 6a Half Cent Rarity 2 [1300 estimated to exist]

Here is another in my 1795, Liberty Cap, Half Cent Variety and sub-variety, for a poor man's budget, collection.
It is a Cohen 6a, Rarity 2, thin planchet, plain edge .
This 6a, thin planchet, is the most common 1795 half cent and probably the most common 18th Century half cent found.
In contrast the 6b, thick planchet, is a very rare R-6 [19 to 24 estimated] See my earlier posting to see my very very worn Cohen 6b.
I had to have this one because how often can one get a [weak] 4 digit date Liberty Cap for under $60.00?
The seller insisted it was dateless, and not worth much, so who was I to argue?

A Cohen 6a was my first 18th century US coin (in the 1980s). I still look at every one I find to see if it shows the Talbot Allum & Lee undertype.

Nice.... I would have jumped on that one as well... Not a collecting niche for me, just like to have coins that start with '17'...
