Have you watched the AMC series TURN: Washington's Spies??

We made the break from Cable a few years ago and bought an Amazon FireStick to fill the void. Over the intervening months we have caught up on things and have the chance to search for new stuff. My GF found "TURN: Washington's Spies" last week so we've been watching a few episodes every evening. It tends to be pretty Historically accurate although, like all programs, it's over-dramatized for my liking. That's OK. If it wasn't it'd come across like a History Channel show!!
What strikes me as coincidental is how we chanced upon it right around the 4th of July. Serendipity??!!?? Also, I'm amazed at how much of what is covered is stuff that there's medallic tribute to that I either own, have owned or are at least familiar with. Lots of George Washington shown, complete with his flaws and weaknesses as well as his strength. One scene depicted the Army of Washington preparing to cross the Deleware River so I went and searched through a box to find my example of this medal:
Needless to say she looked at it, looked at the TV, looked at me and looked back at the medal!! I think Casey was sort of amazed that the stuff she sees me fiddling with at all hours is actually pretty cool, pretty relevant and pretty darn interesting.
Help me celebrate the 4th, post something, hopefully a medal or token, which relates to our struggle against British oppression and/or good ol' George Washington and the Brave Men who fought.

Very nice.... I do not have any medals/tokens representing that period ... and actually, only a couple medals at all...I like them though, and may have to look for one or two that suit me. Cheers, RickO

Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
Here's a small set of mine. All of these are George Bache Soley pieces.
Here's medallette for the Battle of Trenton monument which has George Washington on top:
Here's a similarly sized Lord's Prayer Medal. I collect these and this is only the 2nd silver one I've seen. I own the other as well.
Here are two Washington "American Star" So-Called Dollars from the 1876 Centennial:
Here's a medal with the same obverse as the So-Called Dollars and a Battle of Trenton reverse. This is the only medal here I didn't win, but it goes well with the set so it would be great to pick one up some time.
I'm a big Brian Kilmeade fan and I enjoyed his book on Washinton's Spies immensely.

that Copper American Star is a beautiful medal with a very classic Washington depiction. the bottom Trenton Monument is no slouch, either.
