Carry it loose in your pocket for 6 or 8 months (after the quarantine is over since during it we don't move around to make it wear) then send it in. The scratches will be gone by them.
FR02 if it would grade. I wouldn’t say that the marks were scratches but deliberate cuts around the rims both front and back. I’m guessing the cuts were put there MS and have since worn down

02? I don’t know lowballs too well.
I'm assuming they let scratches go on a coin like that? If so, I'll guess 2 as well.
(If it slabs) Textbook PO1.

I don't think it will straight grade because of the scratches.
MS65, minimum.![:) :)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Well, if they slab it, you have a shot at PO1. Might come back scratched, as said.

Lafayette Grading Set
Any idea why?
Good question. People do all kinds of things to coins. Looks like someone just tried to make a design of some sort around the rim.

I think it’s got a hair too much meat for a 1 .... I’d go 2, too.
I do not think it will straight grade due to the cuts.... If it does... likely a 2.... Cheers, RickO
