What are these, a 5 and a 2.50 ?
Does anyone know what these are? One shows a 5 on both sides. The other has an eagle on one side and shows 2.50 on the other side.
Here are some details about each.
Has 5 on both sides. Both sides are similar but they are slightly different dies. It is 21.5mm, 3.6g, plain edge, medal-turn. Unknown metal, looks brass-like. The coin is corroded, has pitting, and there is PVC residue on it.
The Eagle side has no number, the other side has the 2.50. It is 18mm, 2.7g, plain edge, medal-turn. Unknown metal, looks brass-like. The coin is corroded and the top area is damaged on both sides.
Both are about the same thickness. I was thinking that maybe they are weights of some type for a scale?
Thanks!

Thanks so much for the wonderful information and the link to the TAMS journal and your examples. Yours are very nice looking,
Any guess about when and where these Radiant Eagle counters were made?
Do you need these two for your collection or are they too low grade?
Thanks again, Gary
