I would like to hear his first hand account of him grabbing the football after a field goal attempt failed to place the ball where he could kick it. Instead of falling to the ground he ran a few steps and tried to pass the football.
He was a short, non athletic guy who could kick field goals. In the off season he made or sold ties.
If we're allowed to pick athletes from the past, then Joe Louis. As far as current athetes, I would pick Nick Nolte.

After fly fishing for Atlantic salmon with Ted Williams (when he was in a good mood), on the Miramichi river in New Brunswick...then having a beer at his cabin listening to his Red Sox days.
Got me thinking and as much as Tom Brady is my favorite all time player of any sport I have zero interest in actually talking with him let alone having a beer with him.
