I found both of these at my local coin shop. I have seen the Morgans before but not the Kennedy. Both halves are from Denver. It's not a big deal as I only paid melt for it!
The 1880-s Morgan is really quite nice, I got to pick this one from a group of 4. It's probably a 63 with cool obverse reflective surfaces and nice reverse toning. Don't worry, I will not send it in.
Thanks for looking.

I did not get any Tidy House coins... Was a struggling young fatherin that time period, working as a submarine pipe fitter in the PNH Shipyard...Looks like they were exposed to some of the sponsors products. Maybe not Cheers, RickO
That's nice!
Great Album! 👍 👍

That looks like a nice original Tidy House dollar! I like the Tidy House dollars, try to pick them up when I find them and price is ok. Trouble is.... many replacement coins in those holders, just like the old mint sets up to 1958.
I got to meet Bob Osterholm and came to know and admire him for his business savvy, way after Tidt house. He passed away in 2011, just a couple years after I bought a coin shop, in 2009. I have a few of those carded Morgan dollars and Kennedy halves, along with his signature on a couple of them, as i asked him for his autograph, not knowing he would be gone the next year. He was always a classy dresser. I never seen him out of a suit and tie.
He sold Tidy House Soap Co. to the Arm&Hammer Co. in 1969. The silver dollars he would use came from original mint bags. ( mostly O mint, he told me ). But he would eventually run out and used 1964 Kennedy halves.
He said he could buy a mint sewn bag of 1000 for $1100 at the time. He actually told me his greatest regret was that in one bag of Morgan dollars purchased from a California dealer, they were so tarnished, he hired a chemist in California to “ dip” them. Just imagine. He didn’t realize until many years later, the premiums attached. But PCGS didn’t even come along until 17 years later. Thanks for sharing.
My Tidy House collection now is mostly holders and advertising. You can still occasionally pick up envelopes and sets for a little over melt.
Nice! Your Morgan toned nicely.

Ha I used to call these "Tidy Bowl" coins. I think it was from a coin dealer I had a summer job at once who would use the wrong term. I don't even think it's the same company 😉
