Chile Republican Coin - 8 Reales 1848 - Condor Breaking Chains

The 'Volcano Pesos' are perhaps one of the best known and most popular type coins from the early years of the Chilean Republic.
No less interesting, however, is the 'Condor Breaking Chains' type, first struck in 1838 for the 1/2 and 1 Real, and in 1839 for the 8 Reales. The obverse bears the rather forceful legend 'Por La Razon Y La Fuerza' (By Reason and by Force).
It is a type I had been looking for for some time, and the opportunity finally came a few weeks ago. (This example is also my first ever encapsulated Chilean coin, NGC MS61).
I have tried very hard to take reasonable pictures of it, with only modest success, as you can see.
It is very pleasing in-hand, with somewhat mottled toning and a bi of luster/reflectivity left.
Regards,
Eduard

I like the color on your coin.
From my observations, the Volcano series seems to have a much higher preference over the later series. I'd rate it as one of the most preferred from Latin America by US collectors.
Love it!
Still plugging away at my 8r types, this one's on the list..😊
