Look what my wife gave me in advance for Father's Day! I'm going out any minute to find a coin/s. Wish me luck. Lol I still haven't decided whether to look for a cherry pick or just a nice PCGS graded. coin?
Getting excited! :D

Very generous wife! Don’t make a hasty decision. Think about it, take your time, and find something nice. Happy hunting!

Decisions, decisions? I don't know if I want to go to my favorite shop or visit a shop I haven't been to in quite some time? I wanna give the business to my favorite shop but I already know most of her inventory? Decisions, decisions? Lol
This is a NICE problem to have, right? ;)

Maybe, since "Franklin" is pictured on the C note, maybe it's telling me to go look for a slabbed Franklin half? Whatever I do buy, it's definitely going to be a PCGS graded coin/s.

Certified for sure. Maybe a Buffalo or you may find a decent 63 Pilgrim for that. Take your time, you cannot go high grade, but get good for the grade. Or wait and get more money for a better coin.

$100 will buy a 1954 proof set, the challenge is finding a nice one.

Wait a minute... Father's day is next weekend isn't it?

One little piece of advise, wait til you get home to photo and handle your coins to prevent mishaps. ;)

I was going to suggest a trip to the bank. Pick up $100.00 in cent rolls. Knock yourself out roll searching.

Yep! Here I am sitting on my break at work thinking. Checking this beautiful Eagle of mine out very closely. I'm really considering to make this my next submission. I checked out many toned Eagles on Ebay and honestly speaking, I feel strongly that my Eagle looks, just as good as those highly priced ones, maybe even BETTER? I think I'l pull the trigger and send it in. After the cost of the Coin and all the extras,(submission.shipping, and insurance, etc.).It will cost me approx. $140. I think I can get alot more? I'm thinking, All I have to hope for is at least a ms 68? Here's the thing. I feel right now, I don't want to ever sell. Opinions?

Please do not send in this coin. Please do not do any 1-coin submissions. Your coin was fairly priced at $40. It isn’t worth any more in a holder.

Thanks for the reply and advise. In saying that, are your conclusions based on because you don't care for toned coins or you just feel it's not as beautiful as I say it is? Thanks again. Sure, I do know the monetary aspect but I feel the "Tone" will surely make up for the difference, no? :)

I do not think it would be worth anywhere near the cost of holdering it.

Yes, you are correct. I am aware of not worth the price of the Eagle, but two things. #1. The Toning aspect into the game! #2. Just having that PCGS coin in your possession and knowing it's your own find! Who cares about the monetary worth, esp. when you know, it will never be for SALE! Lol. Thank you for your concern, buddy. Thanks ;)

That first estimate I stated is wrong. It wouldn't cost me a $140. By my previous Silver Eagle Submission, my new submission should only cost a total approx. of $105.

Just add it into your next economy sub, make sure to add GS to get a trueview. No biggie. Definitely wouldn't do a single coin submission for it. I generally queue up coins until I have at least 5 ready to go, it doesn't hurt anything keeping it raw until then.

I appreciate the concern and you're absolutely right. Another reason why I do 1 coin submissions is because I send in all sorts of type coins. Only one type per submission. Thanks again buddy. :)

    Why slab bullion?

It's attractive and I can see why you bought it.
