A few things jumped out at me.

  • His medals were housed in nice holders that look like Capital Plastics holders. Unfortunately, Heritage only has photos of the holders for the bronze LA and the LF. The silver LA medal doesn't have photos of the holders.
  • The silver medal says the composition was 90% gold and 10% copper!

These are neat holders and look like they would be right at home in a coin display.

David Litrenta had a spectacular merchant token collection which was acquired by David Bowers and auctioned off at S/B within the last decade.

@Zoins.... You wrote "The silver medal says the composition was 90% gold and 10% copper!"...Should that have said silver, not gold? Or was it an error on the holder? Cheers, RickO

I think it was / is an error in the Heritage lot listing.
