If you ever start to take this Forum for granted....

.... go hang out in some Facebook coin groups. Hoo boy is there some terrible information being shared over there. One error coin group in particular had me ready to toss everything into a CoinStar machine.
Don't ever leave me, CU Forum.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

"One error coin group in particular had me ready to toss everything into a CoinStar machine." LOL
I remember the day I was sitting at work and somehow stumbling across the PCGS Message Board. March of 2001. I got nothing done the rest of the day. Hooked.

I wouldn't know how to find the Facebook coin group if I wanted to. But you've convinced me I don't want to.
Lance.
My main hang out is home second is CU.
Give me a hallelujah!
If there is anything this year has taught me, it's to take nothing for granted.
Yes... I recall visiting a few other coin groups....long ago...Not pleasant or informative - actually, a great deal of misinformation and keyboard bullying.... That type of problem exists in many areas of interest on the internet. I can now judge the 'atmosphere' of other groups within minutes, just by reading a few posts/responses. Cheers, RickO
Maybe you should sick MFeld or jmlanzaf on them!
Yup, I've dipped my toe into other coin forums, none can compare to the depth and breadth of my experience on CU. Peace Roy

I check into the forums many times, every day. It is an automatic reflex when I sit down at the computer. I lurked for several years before I joined. I love the forums!
Amen, brotha, and Hallelujah.
I’ve looked at a few other forums before rejoining here. Too much acrimony and name calling for some and just too boring for others. This forum has a good mix.
You can always watch Coin Vault.
I will stick to here . Those other sites are a waste of space , time, and energy for me. I've wasted enough here, however this has been my trade for the better part of two decades.

This forum is the shizzle!
It is sad to me when good members take us for granted and start involving politics, baiting or name-calling to eventually self-invite banning.
This forum is hands down number one!

a month later you convinced me too, or was it @LucyBop ?

where did time fly?
Best I have been able to find.
OK, due to my ADD I typically write my first draft and then come back and edit for spelling and grammar given my Laura-like tendencies.
But, I can’t do that as my edit function is not functioning.
My edit function isn’t working, either. I found out when I tried to edit your post for you.😄

Not only are the other forms dead and full of bad info but they are just boring.
This is home and I couldn't be happier that I dumped Facebook on there twin backside. Jmo
This forum is interesting with good info, I also enjoy ATS and another site because some of the folks there are not allowed here and the atmosphere is more relaxed most of the time. I have never felt the desire to check into any of the social media groups.
But its on the internet so it must be true

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Agree with all, it's now just a reflex to check in here almost daily.
The recent purges suck, so many good posters were banned, don't know why, don't care either. But a lot of good, pertinent info will not be posted here because of these bans.
Perhaps a better warning system should be implemented?
Or allow apologies and atonement from the banned members?
I have never met either RogerB or Insider2 Dimeman or any other of the recently banned. They might be absolute assholes in real life and whatever they posted may have been worthy of censure, but their knowledge and experience was an irreplaceable asset to this board
Without this forum I wouldn’t have known about upcoming mint “rarities”, dating back to the 2001 Buffalo commems
If facebook is a horrible platform for coins, imagine all the other topics that facebook is horrible for. Plus they spy on you and sell your data.
I have never and will never belong to facebook.

I left facebook in 2016 you can probably guess why and never looked back. This is the place to be!

Boring is good!
I'm pretty sick of the latest media "excitement."
