Do any of you know who's on this Confederate money?

Just ignore the other notes, just wondered who the guys are on the two Confederate notes>

    I think that's Stonewall Jackson

No, Stonewall Jackson is on the 1864 $500 bill.

Thank you! I didn't think to go to wikipedia, but I'm glad you did!

Nice bills.... I have often admired bills at coin shows... particularly the U.S. bills with the Indian and Buffalo art on them. Cheers, RickO

Here's some fill in information about the two gentlemen I asked about:

Hunter was a Virginia senator and speaker of the house for the US prior to the CW, and Secretary of State for the Confederacy. He was a critic of Jefferson Davis. Even the confederacy had political issues! And it was only 4 years old. You would think there was hardly time to have conflict when succession was the big thing.

Clay was an Alabama US senator prior to the war, and an Alabama confederate senator during. He was arrested for the conspiracy of Lincoln’s assassination, and later released. He lived and is buried in Huntsville.

That's the only Southern note that displays the Confederate Flag?

I snagged Hunter’s autograph in an auction some time back.
