Modern fake, though.

Don't jump down the seller's throat. MANY of this "type" of fake (which seems to be Chinese in origin, but around for a decade-plus... a "family" or related pieces) are able to "pass" with some generally decent sellers.

    ... ANNNNND sold quickly to (pretty sure) the flipper whose ID bears a similarity to a certain workout routine. Will be up on the 'Bay as AU at $500 by next weekend.

    This is a confirmed obverse match to a relatively common "1775FF" wrong assayer fake... but with a different reverse - and not the one I've seen a 1775 obv paired with before. Either way, it's one of those pieces which are "good enough" such that trying to convince a seller about it (especially one who doesn't want to know) will be like talking to a wall.
