This Potty Dollar just ended on Ebay. I thought it was a pretty cool coin. Unfortunately several others with much deeper pockets thought it was cool also. Sold for almost $900... about what a graded XF coin would. What are your thoughts on the inscriptions?

Nice one.
The engraving seems to be various names. The US inscription on the pot makes me wonder if they are all veterans.
In any case, that style of engraving (not just the style of writingx but the chisel engraving) is consistent with the era and it is not easy to find someone who still engraved that way today.
It's a bit better than the average potty crap that is ever present on eBay.
Is the weakness at the top of the date typical? Makes it look fake. Could be whizzing I suppose.
Well, it is a potty dollar.
I was seeing the weakness of the date as an effect of the lighting. Not the best of photography. Definitely a very cleaned and reflective coin.
She's certainly been dipped and wiped down....and with more than just toilet paper......There are A LOT of hairlines.

$900 is a lot for inscriptions.
Buff the hairlines out and make her nice again!
Nice potty dollar.... excellent engraving... I would suspect a special group of people... perhaps there are three others so each member had one... certainly the names are done professionally....Cheers, RickO
