Jordan rookie card

Thinking about submitting to PSA, but not loving the wait time. Wondering opinions of the example below might possibly get a 9 or if it would be q’d top to bottom OC. I get it’s impossible to know from a scan, but wondering if anything stands out as bad, particularly OC.

You shouldn’t worry about wait times too much since you’ll be subbing it at a very High Service level by default. The turnaround times are still pretty solid for the upper tier submissions.

The card listed above looks very similar to yours and did receive the OC designation.
It is still a nice card and any Jordan rookie (especially nowadays) is worth submitting.
If you'd rather take your chances on selling & not submitting, list a price here in the BST forum and I'm sure you'll be able to work out a satisfactory deal with someone (perhaps even me ).

Yea, maybe. Look at this one though. Noticeably more OC in my opinion and it got away with an 8 and no OC. Is it that subjective?

Have to be careful with how this is said.
If I owned a business, let's say I had 2 customers. One of those customers ordered from me almost every day and purchased a large volume of my product. Let's say the other placed an order once every few weeks and even when they bought it was not a large amount.
Which customer is going to get better treatment and perhaps I'd let a few things slide by??
I have had packs at PSA 151 day now
For me...189 days and counting!!!

My primitive skills tell me that the front of your card measures 64/36 top to bottom. I think the light chipping along the top right edge (in the red and blue) also hurts the overall grade. Still a beauty though.
I'm voting '7'. Let me know how it turns out.
Also, it is hard to tell from the scan. Can you make out the word "PLAYERS" in the basketball on the back?
Yes, you can make it out. Also the chipping is not really visible to the naked eye. I will send it in, but want to avoid the 8 (oc) designation. Will take and 8 or 9 or 9 (OC)
There is a short list of cards you get graded no matter what you expect the grade might be. The Jordan rookie is one of those. If you choose to submit NQ that’s a personal preference.
Let them grade it, but put a hold on your shipping. If it grades an 8 oc, call them and ask them to reholder it as a PSA 6 and be done with it. Still worth multiples over the raw card.
Still a beautiful card of the best ever. Although some could argue that Kareem is because he has numerous championships, the most points ever and he did fight Bruce
Lee.
I vote straight 8.
