The 2018d Lincoln Cent? I don't know if you guy's are aware of this discovery or not but for me, I just found out watching Youtube. It's the 2018d Double die "Double ear". Pretty cool! An obvious one. I checked through some coins. I did not actually find the big one but maybe a different die stage? This new discovery "double ear" would be the first time since the 1997 double ear Cent. Here are the two I found. Maybe early stage D.E.?

Looks like die deterioration to me. You can see the radial flow lines going out towards the rim.

A 'doubled' die is doubled from the start, not a function of die wear. Cheers, RickO

I don't see anything but maybe die deterioration

The way the 'doubling' is curved around the bottom of the ear lobe tends to indicate to me it is not a doubled die... but I have to say my knowledge of the more modern types of doubling is not the best.

Most of this looks like machine doubling to me. Sorry.
