.........my coins were in a black and blue PCGS coin box.
Anyone know what's going on here?
Is this box a hybrid?

Hopefully not a reflection of the grades the coins were given.
I received a bulk submission of 10 boxes recently with a mixture of blue, black, and green parts. Three weeks ago I received a submission back in a blue box. Last week I received a black box. Perhaps they're just sending out whatever is laying around. Remember, it's the coin holder, not the box they come in.
This opens up a new opportunity in the BST forum- trade blue bottom for black top, etc.
It’s a deep cameo box

Of my last two submissions one came back in black and one came back in blue. Do you think they are trying to work through all of the blue inventory?

Get them that way all the time...

Funny, I got one with a black bottom and blue top.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Soon need pop figures.
Supply issues my guess...
I do assume they recycle the boxes they receive. I submit all of my submissions in a PCGS Box.
That's what I do too.
Gotta watch out for the very rare green top / black bottom combo! Hard to find in uncirculated condition!

maybe someone is shipping is colorblind - I hate to ask, but who decided PCGS was essential?
Do they grade and encapsulate those? What tier do I submit them on?
That's how I feel after my submissions are returned. . Black and blue.
Just got 6 black boxes with black lids Thursday.

If I recall, they get the boxes from China (thought I read that years ago, here, but if I am wrong, or it has changed, I'm open to being corrected by someone who absolutely knows).
And, if so, getting some things from certain places in China right now may not be as easy as it was in the past. Factories could have been repurposed for more critical items.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
I am coming across all sorts of materials and inventory and tons of things I had forgotten a long time ago. Some might be old but it's not like it goes bad so I've been doing mashups like this too. Like some 2mil bags mixed with 4mil ULine, etc.
I am pleased that PCGS isn't just throwing them away needlessly.
Buy the holder, not the box
This is the "RARE" error box,,,,,, you should have it graded.
Nicely toned!
Does PCGS charge for their boxes? I know people that will pay a premium for certain colors, same people that pay a bunch for rare holders.
My modest box I pay about 4 bucks for, fits PCGS and NGC slabs..
As the saying goes, buy the box not the coin. Congrats!
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.

Looks cool.
No matter what it is, how obscure, someone - somewhere, will collect it.... Cheers, RickO
Did it sticker?
Y'all are a bit strange.
The thing that the things my coins came in looks funny.......
It's a box. C'est tout!
!!!
What’s going on, is not particularly complicated or secretive - a black box top was placed on a blue box bottom. Or in the alternative, a blue box bottom was placed on a black box top.😉

Oh no, I can just see it now.
"if it ain't in a series XX holder with a CAC sticker in an original all blue box with a BAB sticker then ain't worth having!"
Thank you, now that certainly clears things up, MFeld.
Guy boxing up the coins is color blind

p> Sorry, just realized somebody else mentioned that
I've been given a black and blue bottom several times.

My submission last week had the blue bottom. The one I picked up today was black, top and bottom.
