Barber Dime Variety?
Hi guy's, hope everyone's well? Today I visited my shop and accidentally , came across this Barber Dime. Yes, while I was behind the counter (with the owner's permission) cherry picking, I was on my way to the front counter to pay for my cherry pick I found in the Indian Cent Series, then all of a sudden I stepped on a coin in the middle of the isle behind the counter. I picked it up and checked it out with my loupe. It turned out to be a 1915s Barber Dime. A series I really don't seek after. However, while looking through my loupe, the Barber's mint mark, the S, looked doubled! I noticed it right away. So I brought the Dime with me along with my Indian Cent to pay for it. I told the owner where and how I found it and she said, do you want this as well? I said, sure what the heck. She only charged me a mere $2.
My question to you guy's, is this any sort of variety/double Die? I tried to find out on many sites. I'm hoping Dimeman (Jon) would chime in for a little help. Lol. Thanks guy's!

Interesting to say the least. Could also possibly be die chips?
Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value. Zero. Voltaire. Ebay coinbowlllc
It would be nice.
Nice catch...and for $2, well worth investigating.... Good luck, Cheers, RickO
Probably Die chip.
Definitely not doubled.
If anything, it could be repunched, but as your own red line shows, it's not- the correct size.
That looks like the RPM-1 for 1915-S. Here is mine. It is one of the harder RPM's to find in the Barber Dime Series.
My first impression was die chips... but photos provided by DIMEMAN now makes it look like a RPM very well be the case. Certainly well worth the chance find on the floor!
Thanks Jon, I knew you would be the "Sherlock Holmes" to solve the case! Lol
