auto save function

WAYNEASWAYNEAS Posts: 6,787 ✭✭✭✭✭

how do I delay or eliminate the auto save function feature when I post
Here is the truth: I am old and can't type above a snail's pace
when I do long posts I spend more time waiting for the post to be saved then I do typing
when it goes into autosave I can not continue to type until this function completes its actions.
A three minute interval would be nice
Thanks in advance
Wayne

I've never seen that happen. The auto save ("Draft saved") saves as you type and when you hit "Post Comment" it's over with.

As long as you don't leave the page you're typing on it's a non-issue. If you do leave, nothing more should happen than your incomplete post being saved as a draft on the right hand side menu so you can later go back to it or delete it.

Basically you should be able to just ignore it. If something is forcing you to stop typing then it's an issue with the device you're using.

my computer does not have auto save active and I can type all day long when I write very long emails or letters.
I use the save function regularly to save my drafts.
my issue only occurs on posts that I generate or respond to here
    again thanks for your response

  • Hello,

I may be late on this because I'm new. I would not worry about auto save. Finish your draft or listing and go to preview... If you can view the preview.. you are set. Auto save is always working.
