Trying to decide if this is tilted partial collar, off-center, or something else. I think what's throwing me off is the area along IGWT that is rough with missing design. What error is this? Thanks in advance for your help.

Misaligned Die (MAD)
Hadn't considered that. Can they be found with 'railroad rims'? This coin has that- I guess that's why I didn't consider it...
I agree with the misaligned dies, in this case I think the obverse was also misaligned slightly but not as much as the reverse.

Off center strike with a collar scar. Although, There may be a more technical term. I don’t think it’s a misaligned die.
Definitely a cool find. Thanks for sharing.

Why is that not an off-center strike? The misalignment appears to be the same on both sides, or is that just me?
Obverse, not missing design.
Reverse, missing design.
Yes, I see. I guess they are slightly different.
Not to be difficult and not trying to argue. But could that not be a slight misalignment of one die (pick your favorite) on top of an off-center strike? I'm just not clear where that damage comes from if it isn't from the collar. Or is that part and parcel of the misaligned die?
Although, if I can argue with myself, is the fact that the damage is only on one side mean it has to be MAD?
That’s a cool error, and excellent photos!

IMO it's a misaligned die. Nice pics.
I'm curious if it's out of round and diameter mm? Peace Roy

Interesting error... I agree with the 'misaligned die' diagnosis, but have not seen that effect on the obverse before. Cheers, RickO
Good find, as well as, a good conversation piece. Beautiful detail on the Obverse and the Reverse. Looks almost full steps too!
"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!
--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line. It's an off-center, with collar marks.
The planchet was inserted into the collar with about 3% of the planchet was resting on top of the collar die. When the hammer die came down and struck the coin, it pushed the coin downwards into the collar, but since the planchet was not entirely within the collar, part of the design is missing (a tiny portion of the letters on the reverse.)
