At best there may have been some grease in the die that softened the strike in the areas you noticed. But with all the wear on that coin how could anyone be sure what is just wear and what might be a strike anomaly. And no that is not worth submitting.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
All you have is heavily circulated and damaged Lincoln cent. It has no collector value or interest. Under no circumstances should you submit it for authentication and grading.
Yea I'm in the worn down crowd also.

I don't see any errors, but the good news is, it's still worth $0.01.
Worth a few cents. graded or not. Would cost thousands of times that to get graded.
Forget it. It's just a well worn and damaged with a little grease thrown in Cent that did what it was made to do.
Circulate.

No Valhalla for that coin.
Welcome to the forum. You have come to the right place to get the advice on coins such as the one you posted. The expertise here has saved you money already in grading fees (if you follow the advice given here that is).
My opinion of the coin... matches those given by others already. A coin that may have been struck with a partially grease filled die, resulting in some weaker struck areas; this is actually pretty common on the wheat cents. Thus... value is the normal wheat cent value of 2 or 3 cents. But keep looking... there ARE real finds out there, waiting to be found.
@Mrblaze....Welcome aboard.... Your cent does not have any errors... as mentioned above, it is an ordinary, well circulated wheat cent....No numismatic premium. Good luck in your searches...Cheers, RickO
I'm in the worn out crowd as well
Nice pics!
