    I was born in Denver less than two miles from the Denver Mint (the old St. Luke's hospital which has since been torn down). So here's a D mint from my birth year!

    The 1st year Denver made a saint was 1908
    They started with no motto coins and then switched.

    It seems they had a lot of problems getting the D straight in the beginning :D
    The most die rotation of any saint is also noted in the 1908-D NM called "F-15 eagle".

    In addition to all of the US coins, the Denver mint participated in the US mint's production of coins for many foreign nations from the 1920s through the 1970s. Most don't have the D mint mark, but a few do from the WWII era. Here's a 1945-D cent from the Netherlands East Indies (now Indonesia) and a 1945-D ten centavos from the (US-administered) Philippines:

    1971-D $1 Friendly Eagle Variety FS-901

    This variety has special significance for the Denver Mint, as I believe it has the distinction of being the only design variety (of any U.S. denomination) minted exclusively at Denver.
