silver futures were $14.50 that day. So yes, ASEs were over $25 when futures were $15.
And derryb was offering for sale ASEs for nearly $23 each when futures were at $14.25 on 4/6/2020
Now I imagine that since derryb is the greatest and smartest trader on the planet, he sold physical and bought paper since this would have resulted in a greater return. But dcarr would have still called him an idiot. Derrb just cant win.
In my dealings, about six months ago Silver Eagles could be bought for around $4 over spot. Now I would have to pay $7 or $8 over, when they are available.

And how about gold eagles 1 ounce, Daniel?
I haven't priced those in some time, so I don't know.
I rarely buy or use those since they are not 999.
Instead, if I need some gold for a minting project I will get Maple Leafs or other 999+ items.
Last time I bought some gold Maple Leafs was about 5 months ago. I think they were about $40 over spot at the time (but I'm not sure about that) ?

Derry sells whenever premiums spike. This is not my first rodeo nor the first spike in premiums. And yes he bought paper with the latest premium spike profits. . . crypto paper. He's winning. . . again.

Derry sells a smidgen of his stack whenever premiums spike. This is not my first rodeo nor the first spike in premiums. And while he put his profits in collector gold the last time around (which he since sold for more silver on the dips) he bought paper with the latest premium spike profits. . . crypto paper. He's winning. . . again.
Do you even own any metal? Or do you just like to pretend you know all about metal and those here who discuss it.

That was a major dislocation.

I agree. I prefer the pure gold when I buy. Maples, Roos, buffaloes, Beasts, etc.
Keep buying, just say yes, hammer time?

DCarr is not exactly a troll brother. In fact one could say he is fairly accomplished, uses his real name, and can be easily reached by anyone.
