Congrats on the wax packs. I was eyeing up the 1965 pack but decided to wait for a PSA 8. I ended up not pursuing anything in extended bidding. I’m shocked the 1969 PSA 9 Cleon Jones went for $4,000k plus. It usually trades for $500-$600. No signs of Covid recession for items I’m tracking.

    Congrats on the packs!

    I got one tonight

I am trying to wrap my head around how a psa 2 1952 Topps Mantle went for 71% more than a psa 2.5 :o

I know the 2 has nice corners, but the scuff accounts for the accurate grade

A signed 1986 Fleer Jordan rookie graded authentic with the autograph graded PSA 9 went for $21,600 with the premium.

Similarly, an autographed 1939 Play Ball Ted Williams RC sold for $23,400. Some strong prices tonight.

I was too pooped to stay up to the very end, and got beat out by one bid on each of the 9 complete 1950s/60s sets I was bidding on. Congrats to the winners.

    gemint...

    Thanks for the post!

Even though it has a couple of tears on the wrapper...I decided to bid on the PSA-7. '63, '64, and '65 5-cent wax packs w/correct wrapper are the most difficult to find in the 1960s. There are only six (6) PSA-8 5-cent wax packs graded w/correct wrapper. If the only PSA-8 Series #1(Joe Morgan RC) hits the market...I will be bidding strongly being a Big Red Machine fan.

I lost out on all 5 items I was bidding on. Had 3 still alive when it went into extended bidding. I went to bed then. This morning I won nothing and was beat out by 2 or 3 increments.

I wanted the '55 Clemente RC PSA-7.5...but I could not fund it with the packs. Someone won a beauty!

I was bidding on the Billy Herman jersey. My Dad had a cousin who married into Billy's family, so I have always been a Billy Herman collector and I didnt think there were many of us out there. I believe it went for over $1,400 including premiums (but not the NYS tax I would have had to have paid). It is the first time I have seen a Herman jersey, albeit a coaching one. I don't think there are many of them out there, and I bet this wound up being sought after for those collectors who collect HOF game used jerseys.

In the middle of all of the COVID craziness, I am currently buying and selling a house (in NYS nonetheless), so I tried to wrangle in any ridiculous spending.

    HOLY CRAP!!!!!
    A PSA 2 sold for 43.2K $$$$$$$$$ INSANE!!!!!!
Makes me re-think if the Market will RISE-UP on these 52 MICKS's again and this be the new norm.

    KC...

    I still need 1960 and 1969 packs. I am looking for a series 1 1969 pack psa-8. A 1960 pack could be unknown series psa-7.
    Any out there for sale?

Some nice pickups. Did not bid on any items this auction but glad to see some great additions. Monte congrats on adding those two packs. Can't wait to see the entire run of 60's wax when you finally complete it.

CW's that Speaker is pretty sweet. Would love to add one like that to my collection. Congrats.

    MantleFan23...

Thanks! Those last two packs could be difficult since I prefer series graded packs PSA-7 or better.

    JBrules...

Thanks! I had a fast start and now I am adding a pack at a time. Two years ago...a collector offered me a series #3 1960 PSA-7 wax pack (Willie Mays/Stan Musial Series) for $1400 and a series #6 1969 PSA-8 wax pack (Nolan Ryan Series) for $3000...but I had made other pack purchases and could not consummate the deal. If I had...my run would now be complete.

    Hi Tim,

I did not....however, the heritage auction has a few items that I am watching very carefully
