WOW! That's neat to the nth degree! Man, they held up real good, and have beautiful luster.
Someone must have had an "in" with the Federal Reserve and purchased the whole shebang.

I remember getting $1000 bags from the bank and then selling them to a local dealer for $1200.
@golden ...wow a thousand dollar bag of 64's that were most likely all BU coins.
They were all BU and fresh from the Denver Mint. I sold several bags until the premium disappeared. $200 was a lot in 1964!
$1695 for a 65 seems high to me. I think I will pass on this. Neat history though.

Very interesting story (it is also in another thread)....Would have been fun to open the bag. I would not pay a premium for one though....it really is just another 'neat label'.....Cheers, RickO

Very interesting, he could have put on some gloves before handling the coins but I guess they are not really high valued enough to worry about that. Neat, but once it’s separated out, it’s just another coin.

Fun to watch them open the bag! Closest I have been to that was the times I got to open original rolls of Franklin halves.
