Kinda looks like the 1916-S "Skinny Buffalo".

It has the same filled R in PLURIBUS

Has it been reported? Certainly a fake, should be taken down. Cheers, RickO

Wow it seems like more of this crappy stuff is hitting the marketplace just when people are "Down" we do not need to get people further down when they purchase stuff like this!!

I think most sellers of the counterfeit don't realize that's what they are.

It's the 'skinny buffalo'. I love that counterfeit. I've cherrypicked a number of them and have gotten $20 - $35 apiece for them selling them as such.

eBay has deleted both of them. I did not contact eBay about these as I do not do this. But I know that others do and
eBay has probably a seen of few of these over the years.

I picked three of them off ebay several months ago. Two were from the same dealer. Knew they were counterfeits listed as the regular issue. Paid less than $10 for 2 of them and about $25 for third. Have an old Dansco filled with mostly circulated Buffalo errors, varieties and contemporary counterfeits.

Nice! I don't think I've ever paid more than $10 for one. Most dealers don't notice the no 'F' or the skinny buffalo and just stock them in their boxes/binders of circulated buffalo nickel 2X2's...

    Right you are Ron
A day or so after this post was made I got a message thru eBay from the seller of these two coins, or rather “co ns”.
He was very indignant and wanted to know what my qualifications were to make such derogatory comments about these coins that were purchased from a reputable north west coin dealer. He said he would send them to Koynequest forthwith and I told him to go ahead and you will be told by him same as I have already told him. I have not heard from him since.

So was I right in doing what did, by making this post in the first place? I did not contact eBay but just made the post
for the information and use of anyone interested. Everyone is entitled to there own opinion, and if you think this is a legit coin thats your right as far as I am concerned.

Origin of them is difficult to assess. I do know they're rather common.
