Coat button ID?

23mm coat button. Brooks Bros. NY back marks are a quality clue. The crest design and S.P.S. has me stumped. Thanks in advance. Peace Roy

    Brooks bros was located for many years and may in fact still be on Madison ave around 44-45street NYC. St. Patrick's cathedral is a few blocks north between Madison and 5th aves. Hope it's helpful as it could be a staff uniform button.

    @mapleman I thought maybe a school crest. I don't think it's military.
    Interestingly, Brooks Bros. was my tailor. When I got back from the jungle, I went to that store and they made me my first 3 piece suit. Nice brown herringbone wool, so comfortable. Peace Roy

    Agree on Brooks bros. I still have an ankle length shearling collar full leather coat bought around 1980. Happily I stopped suiting up in early 80s.
    The button could be fraternal but has a religious look to me. Best and good luck.

    Nice button Roy... I cannot help with the identification, but sure looks like a specific organization shield and initials...might try googling the shield image...Cheers, RickO

    @ricko I know right, that bishops hat and the 3 crosses. Actually that might be a papal hat. I agree Saint Pxxxx School? Thanks Roy
