Speaking of 1921 Peace Dollars...

There’s a MS62 PCGS graded 1921 Peace dollar on eBay right now that has to be better than a 62.
Sellers wants 850 and I’m not so sure it’s not worth it.
Can anyone tell me why a coin that we’ll struck and that nice of a surface is only a 2? The toning is not that bad IMO. Is it the turkey neck? The reverse hits?
If you have a few minutes, take a look.

A link would help.

I never get that to work on my phone. Didn’t want to steal his pics

Is it this one?
Seller wants 64+ money for it.
Lance.
1921 MS62 $850
That’s it.
I have to admit. I’m tempted. Crazy money for the grade, but not for the coin.
Yeah, I might pay 63 money for that coin. The seller is taking offers!
I had a feeling it would be ginopr, that guy is PROUD of all his coins(that I've seen) for sale. I think he's got a 64 listed at 65+ price too.
$850 is too much, I don't think the toning is all that great.
63 money would be fair I think, it does look like a nice coin and the strike is pretty good.
Here's my MS62 toner if you want to compare. I'll admit that if someone offered $850 for it I'd have to let it go.

OK now I like yours a hell of a lot better!! at least from the grille view.
Based on the TV, I think it's lacking in the luster department and that's why it was given a 62.
That coin has bean on eBay for so many months, maybe even a year.
I like the coin but not the price.
Has hits on both sides... 62 is a fair grade...Price is high IMO....Cheers, RickO
The 62 is probably lackluster.
I like the one you have a lot better. Your 21 has a better strike and color...even has a semi "apple cheek".
Strike on that one seems pretty good. I have a decently struck same grade 21 that I paid 63 money for. I think $850 is steep!
Wow how is that a 62? Nice coin!
MS-62 is the new AU-58. The coin has lost its original surface on the hair. An MS-62 may also have hairlines that we cannot see.
There are now so many images of different coins posted that this thread is going to be fun to watch.
Just 3, try to keep up.
