What's a Collector to do?

BuffaloIronTailBuffaloIronTail Posts: 7,413 ✭✭✭✭✭

You know, I don't know of this COVD-19 should be affecting collecting at all. Yes, I do understand that the absence of shows is not good,

Maybe it does affect the high end aspect of out Hobby. Maybe it affects the restriction of collectors from going to shows and buying stuff.

Me thinks it would be way worse if this happened 30 or more years ago, when there was no WWW access to purchasing coins.

No matter. We can all ride this out. Things should start popping eventually.

If possible..................................DON'T give up!

I want to thank you for that question. :D

what I do is a lot of looking at coins, reading, house work, sneaking to the grocery store, praying and some big time dreaming.

I won't and can't give up Pete, my family needs me .

As mine need me. Even if they don't know the difference between a Penny and a Cent.

    Carry on, my friend.

Lots of things to do at home... chores, projects, cooking, organize collections, clean guns, walk dogs, walk myself in the woods...and that is just the first page of things to do ;) Cheers, RickO

Since reading a recent thread on Canadian coins, it peeked my interest! Since this "stay home" thing, I'm starting to look more into the Canadian coins. I keep a container in my car for all the foreign coins I find. Included is many Canadian coins. I brought them inside to cherry pick. I did find many. Quarters, dimes, nickels and cents. I found one ms cent. It turned out to be a variety! The value? I'm not quite sure? Because of this current situation, I'm now into another variety area I've never really considered. :)

    Oh, Canada! :)

I'm about to take up drinking after this text , today.

To answer the question : "what's a collector to do?

My answer is " Do a little more research ".

No names are good names. But in the world of commerce ????????
    Ebay vs. Etsy.
    It's outta my league.

I am now building out my attic. Lots of walls to hang photos in my new Man cave. The Wife does't like my taste for art / coin photos. I wonder why. ;)
