That's a beautiful coin with a surprising amount of luster. I bet it looks even better in person.

I had one 1830 CBH in AU-55 but I had to sell it to fund a move. That was when I stopped collecting. Moving for government jobs and supporting a growing family required me to focus on other things. I'm finally at a spot now where I can gradually build my collection back up. I plan to focus on expanding into as many types as I can, and I have a weakness for toned coins.

I see it sold on ebay last year, twice in two weeks. Did you win it there? I always like to see other images but those sales were too long ago.

No, I picked it up from Eye Appealing Coins this morning (no idea when it will ship, given the virus situation; hopefully I'll have it in hand soon). I saw it on eBay last night and noticed that they had it listed for less on their website.

Thanks again for all the kind words, everyone. It may be a while before my next acquisition, but I'll probably start by filling out my half dollar type set. Next on the block will be a circulated draped bust. I've seen a few examples in the VG - VF range with attractive, colorful toning.
