I already emailed him. Dirt bag is selling non Carson city GSA morgans with Carson city paperwork and boxes. He gave some snarky response. I figured I would sick the wolves on him

He emailed back more nonsense. I told him taking advantage of people new to the hobby is bad form. I caught what he was doing right off but looks like many did not

"selling non Carson city GSA morgans with Carson city paperwork and boxes."
I get it, not the best listing practice.
However, his listing says coin, box & COA and that is most likely what you would get.
He doesn't clam it is the original box & COA.
Best thing is to not let it upset you....it's not worth it.
If you don't like the listing, move on.
The wolves like it when there is a little more meat left on the bone.
Certainly can be deceptive to those who do not carefully examine the pictures....Not for experienced collectors though...Cheers, RickO
Interesting. The 1879-S has an NGC grade band on it. When I checked the cert # it showed as an 1879-S GSA hoard dollar, MS63.

Very deceptive

How are GSA boxes with CC dollars distinguished from the GSA boxes with non-CC dollars?

The link provided by Mgarmy shows a non CC holder. Paperwork pictured DOES show Carson City but I don't see any place on the listing saying it is a CC dollar.
Boxes ... not holders.
