I believe the sticker on that Ike isn't for his "Everest Selection" inventory, but rather for what might be termed one-step down.

I would put more stock in a UCAM label than an Everest sticker, or is Everest only for moderns? I am not that familiar with NGC.

He should have branded it the "K2 Selection" then. B)

Just a way to charge a very large premium.

I've never seen one of these stickers before now. I like them and they certainly are not misleading in my opinion.

great, just what we need, another sticker. by my count there are now 4-5 different stickers that could be applied to a slab. that means pretty soon we won't even have enough slab left to see the entire coin once all the stickers are applied.

enough already, stop the promoting. >:)

Stickers, snickers, shmickers.....I know some are a big deal for some collectors - and even bring premiums...However, in my opinion, they are just window dressing....The coin people, that is the objective...all the rest is 'other people's opinions'.....Humans are strange...they claim individuality, yet dress, collect, buy cars, art, homes - all for status and approval of others... Oh well, to each his own - or, in the case of stickers - his own status symbols. Cheers, RickO

I wonder what sticker they'd put on these two guys?? maybe "approach at your own risk" or "consult only in the case of emergency" would be appropriate.

I finally know which one is Ricko. Thanks to the Keets dog photo. I guess if you stick around long enough.

speaking of the "dog photo" we have to keep that little Jack Russell on a tight reign. she thinks she can whup the biggest dog walking down the street and wants to challenge everyone, even when they're almost 100 yards away.

she's a sweet little dog but we're in over our heads!! :)

LOL on the Jack Russell's. I know where some of the evil alien and creature sounds for the movies came from after years of being around my Mom and Step Dad's Jack Russell!

Please don't lump all of us into that bucket. I'll bet many of us don't fit with any of your assertions. I should think that includes both you and Mr. Keets! :p

PS I like stickers when deserved. The small amount of info on a slab label is usually not enough.

Stickers aside, that Franklin is ridiculously PQ. Man, what a beautiful specimen.

If the photo is accurate, it could feasibly upgrade to UCAM. :o

It's applied by Rick Tomaska of R&I Coins. They are stickers he puts on his inventory for what he describes as "Everest Selections".

I really am kind of new to all of this, I've been seriously collecting for under 10 years, so I may be very wrong. I still rely on the opinions of experts, and am not afraid to rely on the expertise of reputable TPGs and stickering services.
So I know that Tomaska is a knowledgeable guy and has been around a long time.
And if you are not a fair dealer, this business is too small to tolerate anyone less than honest and accurate, so he must be fair and correct. A quick look at the R&I Coins selections of Everest stickered offerings shows that most, if not all of the those so stickered have really nice photos.

But compare this Everest sticker to Sego's QA sticker.
Every coin I've seen with an Everest sticker has been on R&I's page, I have never seen one in the wild.
Every coin I have seen with a QA sticker appear to have earned it, and right now he has only 3 QA coins for sale on his website. Sego has a lot of really nice, possibly upgradeable stuff for sale but does not appear to be putting a sticker on things in his inventory.
I honestly don't know if that guy in Far Hills offers his inventory publicly.
And I don't do Indian cents (yet) so I can offer no comment on the Eagle Eye stickers, but it seems that those in the know attest to their worth.
So, for this guy, CAC counts for bonus points, QA and EE too.
Anything else carries the same weight as a Chaquita banana sticker.
