Born from heavy die polishing the No FG Kennedy Half Dollar is a popular variety for the series and can be found across many years. One particularly valuable piece to look out for is the 1966 SMS. PCGS has graded roughly 270 examples with values at PCGS SP65 around $200 but reaching $2,500 at SP67 seen here.
The No FG Kennedy Half Dollars are often collected as part of a larger series run, though there are plenty of numismatists who pursue only varieties such as these.

One of my Favorite Kennedy Varieties!
I had one in the PCGS slab, I sold it!
"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!
--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.I have a single 1983 without the FG... not sure if it's a P or D mint. I found a few '82s but the '83 is a bit more scarce I believe.
There were picketers at the last coin show I attended that had the title of this thread as their battle cry- it was on all of their signs and they were chanting and yelling it "NO FG KENNEDY HALF DOLLARS!" The incessant banging on drums, marching around the convention center was a distraction.
Well, great. I guess I do have the '66 No-FG. It has all the diagnostics but the faintest trace of the FG which I had been told made it no good. I guess I was misinformed.
The others I have never seen.
...And thanks for the links.
It looks like hours of fun for a shut-in.
The missing designer's initial varieties are also collected in the Buffalo nickel, Roosevelt dime, and Walking Liberty series.
I have been meaning to check my Kennedy halves for this variety...I have many and even did an album series. Long since in one of my boxes I have not unpacked since my retirement move twelve years ago Wow... did not realize it has been so long...got to do something about that....soon... Cheers, RickO
