Pewter Silver Dollar?

I picked up this Morgan as I like the look as it appears more like German silver (or pewter) then it does real silver.
I know it's definitely NOT an off-metal coin- just sort of has that appearance.
Any coins you own that look like a different metal composition than it is?

I have seen genuine coins look that way due to stupid cleaning and/or environmental damage. Need more info such as weight and Specific Gravity.
I have a few 1971-D Ike Dollars that appear to have been struck on Cu-Ni proof planchets. This one is the most dramatic. It almost has a reverse proof-like appearance, but the closest thing I can compare it to is an SMS specimen. It is SUPER brilliant. Compared with a typical 1971-D, its appearance is markedly different.

The Morgan in the OP definitely looks as if it were dipped and not rinsed... Just a theory based on the picture...could be other things as well....Cheers, RickO
I love that Ike! Extremely neat looking coin.
