Being from GA. I am a bit partial to Dahlonega Gold, although I plan on picking up at least one Charlotte Gold example when the right coin comes along. Love "vintage gold"...…………….....
I have collected both Dahlonega and Charlotte coins. When assembling the Charlotte type set of 8 coins, I have noticed that the Charlotte coins are much more difficult to find nice eye-appealing pieces than that of the Dahlonega mint and that Charlotte coins seem to be less well minted than there Dahlonega counterparts. The set of Charlotte Dollar below are some of the crudest coins that I have ever assembled.
Are Charlotte coins more special than Dahlonega issues?
I think Dahlonega is more exotic because Charlotte is an airline hub and banking center. A lot more people have been to Charlotte than Dahlonega and Charlotte is more metropolitan than Dahlonega.
One of my typeset goals is to have at least one coin from each mint. At this point everything (including a W Roosie) is represented except for Charlotte.

Walker Proof Digital Album Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

This thread has drawn out some beautiful coins.
They are both super cool, but to me the D is far more desirable than the C.
Unfortunately, I own neither.

Of course, C is only half as special as CC

@skier07 that dollar looks woefully undergraded
