Today, March 19th, marks the 120th anniversary of the death of John Gault who was the inventor of encased postage stamps. For those who don't know, encased postage stamps were one of the monetary substitutes that arose from the Civil War coin shortage. Feel free to post any encased postage stamp related items you have.

And 120 years ago today the New Orleans Mint was pumping out O/CC Morgans! Fun variety as are Gault's encased postage stamps. He used mica to protect as I recall and many times that broke or degraded. Finding nice examples is the key, expensive as well! Nice post!

Do any of the grading services encapsulate these encased postage stamps?

As far as I know, none of them do. All encased postage that I have ever seen are raw.
