1943 S war time nickel with chip placard

I have a war time nickel that has 3 identical chips around the edge. They are om the right, left, and bottom of the coin. By the looks of the chip placard it came this way from the mint. I have done considerable searching and trying to find any coin that has that many chips in the placard or information and not have been able to find nothing.

Probably an emergency metal part engineered on the spot to fill a pressing need.
    That would be my guess.

Whatever the cause, it was not done at the mint.

@Pjcoins678....Welcome aboard... Your nickel is not a mint error, it is Post Mint Damage (PMD). Cheers, RickO

Damaged, not an error coin of any
    kind, I'm sorry to say.

Those 'bites' were taken out of the coin
by someone well after the coin was already
    in circulation.

Yep just PMD, for future reference there are true mint errors that look somewhat like that but are called clips not chips.
