new coin suggestions

I wondered what you guys believe would be a good change for a dime or nickle? Personally I'm weary of every type of coin and currency we have depicting a person. I would like to see both sides of a coin displaying American pride of unity, perhaps the American seal on one side and ... I don't know. Just starting conversation really.

I would love to see the permanent removal of personal images from our coins...A return to art and patriotic designs would be really great. The Mint, however, is controlled by politicians...ergo, egocentric and narcissistic individuals... so unlikely to happen. Cheers, RickO

It would be nice but I think that era has passed since they are only concerned with quantity produced as cheaply as possible.

Last time a nickel change was suggested Virginia had their diaper burst. They think they own it. All of us that were here (on the forums) back then surely remember that.

A far as the dime, I'd like to see just ONE THING keep going unchanged that we can hang on to.

There's a reason the quarters have been getting the new designs - more real estate to show stuff!
I do like those buffaloes, and it's been nice seeing the different versions of Jefferson & the keel boat.

I don't really handle circulating coins much these days, given that I pay at the grocery store with a debit card,
and gas station with a $20. So the designs don't matter to me as much as before.
