    And then, there's those days when it drops $50 or more. And then gains it back the next day. Kinda makes ya crazy.

    Yep. These wild swings remind me of the 2008 gold run.

    In 380 A.D. Gold was not at 0. Of course there were no dollars then.

    In 380 A.D. Gold was not at 0. Of course there were no dollars then.

    A few hundred centuries before (B.C.) it was at its highest level in history: A golden calf on the altar.
    Exodus 32:4 , If one is inclined to read that far back in history :).

    How it is valued or priced today is a matter of economics. Bend it , shape it , anyway you want to.
