People have been dumping some interesting stuff lately. Paying $1 over spot for early (1970s) Engelhard bars? Sure! :)

Pick anything interesting up?

Shouldn't have to water those too often, nice!
I'm going to stop by the shop today after work and see if anything catches my eye... I'll update this if I find something cool.

@DrBuster , How much platinum weight are the roses?

Not sure, it's platinum plate, so whatever else is in there plus the bit of platinum. They were ~$100/ea so can't be too much honestly. The have some heft to them though.

They may be plated with brass or similar base metal to make them rigid enough to handle and then the brass is plated with platinum.

Hit the ANA show today. Went in with no real objective, settled on a quest for some raw seated halfs and/or some bust halfs....and then anything that caught my pirate eye.

Love the new orleans mint silver, & anthing Engelhard a buck over is a good deal IMO.

I didn't buy any PMs but I did make these awesome Pirate Coins with my backyard forge. Made with Scrap copper, so free to me, just the cost of the energy to melt them.

I posted a video in my Backyard Forge thread for those who are interested.
