1888/7?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated just didn't want to waste my time grading and money. I'm by far experience in coins. Best I could do on pictures of the two coins.

    I didn't say it was a final assumption? Need to magnify closer. You never know? Then again, it might be a different variety?

    I opened in new tab and magnified it.... I do not see 8/7.... Good luck in your searches. Cheers, RickO

    Hi, welcome to the boards! This piece is worn to the point where I can't see some of the diagnostics... the cud in the denticles adjacent to ED of UNITED... and the positioning of the date in relation to the denticles... that's said, I still don't see the remnants of the 7 protruding under the last 8, at least without better photography.

    @EagleEye should be able to shed some light on this one.

    Not an 8/7. I see what looks like damage on the bottom of the last 8 in the second photo.
