Is this a New Variety for the 1944 D War Time Nickel?

Found this Coin going through my Mothers old collection. Noticed that the Rpm was Different then the Normal D/d rpms. I looked it up on PCGS and other Forums but nothing is said about it. Think ive found a Rare and Unique Error Variety. Would appreciate any Feedback Please.

    Welcome to the forum! :)

Looks like post mint damage (PMD). :/

Post mint damage. Strictly melt value.

I agree, your coin is damaged.

FYI – It is unlikely that a variety like an RPM would be unique. The RPM is part of the die and all coins minted using that die will show the RPM. They only way for it to be unique is if the die was used to strike just 1 coin.

@DylanDN1987....Welcome aboard....Your coin has several points of damage (PMD) and does not appear to be a mint error. Cheers, RickO

Likely saved for it's silver value.
