I just upgraded the "KING" of the Roosevelt's Dime Varieties in my set with the TOP POP!!

DIMEMANDIMEMAN Posts: 22,403 ✭✭✭✭✭

This 66+FB replaces my 64FB. I made this coin and thought it could 67. This is a rare coin as there are only a handful of this variety in MS Full Band. Thanks for looking and comments welcome. :)

I don't know how you do it, but it's always impressive.

How many times did you return your failed cherrypicks before you found this one?

I don't return failed cherrypicks for one thing and this one is easy to tell from pics if you know what to look for.

The fellow I consigned my mercury dimes to me sent me this screenshot. You eventually got a refund of around half the purchase price because it made more sense than you returning them.

I'm thinking harassing other members might be against the rules.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

well done! especially if it was a pick.

i'm sure you thought of it but in the future, maybe send a coin like that in a few times over the period of a couple years before doing the attribution? save a few bucks and may get a higher grade or lower depending if you do consideration/crackout etc. although it does have obv/rev contact marks.

i've never found one unfortunately and i've looked.

    thanks for sharing!

@DelawareDoons has a problem. The PM he posted here tells it all.....I wasn't happy with the coins in hand (not a failed pick) and offered to return them. The seller wanted to do a partial refund instead. I said OK...it was his choice. When I PM'ed @DelawareDoons stating this he fires back a reply by me in another thread "sometimes it pays to pull the trigger" which proved my statement about not returning "failed" cherrypicks". Someone replied "would you have kept the coin if it was not the variety?". I replied "yes I would keep it...….I have a drawer full of mistakes" !

Bottom line is I am tired of @DelawareDoons !

You paid something close to double the going values for each coin via 99c auction. All it takes a quick look through your discussion history on here to realize why you probably chased them so high. You are a cherrypicker that focuses on dimes, and are possibly the single most knowledgeable mercury dime cherrypicker out there, who bid up two boring coins to almost double their going rate. It has been a long time since I was in math class, but I think 1+2 still equals 3.

You even said in your messages to the seller that you believed they were special. Come on!

It takes an EVIL sharp eye to find coins such as this. You should change your name to EvilEye........much more descriptive of your numismatic ability than "Dimeman" . You have evolved.
